Our Story
Nestled in the breathtaking mountains of Santa Barbara, Honduras, Estaban Madrid Chávez — also known as Papa Chevo — and his dedicated team of family farmers produce some of central America’s best coffee, while committing to the conservation of Honduras’ environment and biodiversity. Founded by his father, Don Costatino Madrid in 1930, Papa Chevo continues his family’s legacy of quality and passion. Our coffee has won numerous awards and accolades for its outstanding quality and taste, including the Cup of Excellence (La taza Excellencia). Such accomplishments are made possible by our dedicated collaborators, whose experience and dedication, along with strict quality control standards, allow Papa Chevo to deliver a truly remarkable coffee experience that will transport you to mountains of Honduras.
